Break the Stigma
Help 97X #breakthestigma around mental health.
UPDATE 10/18: Due to weather, Making Strides of Tampa has been rescheduled to Sunday, November 3rd.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks unite communities behind the American Cancer Society's efforts to save lives from breast cancer. Here's what you can expect:
Check-In: Sign up online for easy check-in the day of the walk. All event participants, including children, need to register for the walk. If you do not register online prior to the event, please visit the check-in area upon arrival.
Opening Ceremony: Come together with survivors, caregivers, men and women from all walks of life who are passionate about saving lives from breast cancer. Celebrate your shared efforts. Inspire each other to carry on. And take comfort in the knowledge that because of your dedication, no one walks alone.
Walk Begins: We all walk together, but our event is not a race. Stop whenever you want or need to. You absolutely do not need to complete the entire walk if you are unable. The walk concludes when the final walker crosses the finish line.
For Survivors: The survivor area is a special area for survivors and the caregivers attending with them. We include both survivors and caregivers to make sure everyone is as comfortable as possible. You'll find important information about American Cancer Society programs and services geared specifically for you.
Event Contact: To learn more about the Making Strides of Tampa or for other information, call us toll free at 1-800-227-2345. We're available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can also contact your local American Cancer Society office using the contact information provided below Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
